Wounds at a young age can cause dissociation where separation happens from the trauma. These traumas at a young age can cause what is known as "parts or personalities" to form. As I grow up in life I might not even recognize that they exist, until an event or something triggers a reaction from my past. God allows this triggering because He wants me to heal from that trauma that happened to me.
